Go on and visit the studio of APFEL. You’ll find some highly conceptual work with an aesthetic that just fits right for the content.

Joshua Darden

Joshua Darden

He started designed type at 15 and was recently named one of Print Magazine’s top 20 young artists under 30. He’s worked with Eric Spiekermann, Christian Schwartz, Jonathan Hoefler, and Tobias Frere-Jones. He’s an adjunct professor at Parsons. I don’t know where he finds the time to design all these amazing typefaces. Have a look at some of his type here.

Ian’s got a great sense for type and his printed pieces show great craft and polish.

100th Post—Brad Harris Photo!

It’s a milestone! 100 posts! And 4 comments! Please send links, feedeback, comments, even spam, I don’t care! What do YOU want to see more of? Talk to me.
Anyway, here is some very lovely post-modernist-type photography from Brad Harris. What’s more is it’s a full Flash site. What’s even more is it sports an entirely keyboard based nav scheme. What’s even more more is that it’s easy to use.

Blue River

Not even a word about the studio or its philosophy over here, just some tight work, most of it collateral for theaters.

Lobby Design

I have to admit, my Swedish is quite bad, and by quite bad I mean that I do not understand any words of the language. But that did not stop me from enjoying Lobby Design’s work. There’s a strange joy to be found, uncovering the fact that illustrationer is swedish for illustration. Go ahead, next time you wander around Ikea, you may even recognize a name or two.

These are the kind of sites I really like, no copy, just images. Check out the work from this Leeds-based studio, cleverly named, Lowd & Klea.
